Frequently Asked Questions

ONLINE ORDERING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:-

  1. Where do I put the Delivery Address?  You need to click the box that says “Ship to a Different Address” Then enter the delivery address in as the shipping address with their name and address.
  2. When can I get deliveries done?  Couriers deliver between 9.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday only
  3. Where do I put the message for the card?  Please put this in the section called Order Notes when you get to checkout.  We include a free florist message card with every order.  Please call us on 07 55310088 if you have any problems
  4. Where do I put the delivery address? Please put this in the Shipping Details.
  5. Where do I put their telephone number?  Please enter a tel. no. for the receiver of your gifts in the “Order Notes.”
  6. How do I claim my free delivery for a hospital order?  Please enter coupon code HOSP at checkout, and it will automatically raise a credit for $9.90, bringing the delivery fee to zero.
  7. It’s going to a secure unit block or security estate, how do I tell you about any special codes, etc, so the courier can get in?  If going to a secue unit block / estate, please put any special instructions, like the buzzer number, etc in “Order Notes.
  8. The website asks me for a specific time, can you really do that?  The website order system will ask for a delivery time, please complete this as otherwise it will reject your order.  BUT NO specific times can be done, only AM or PM as our couriers in the real world (rather than the online world!) can only do these.
  9. I am having problems with my order rejecting, what do I do? Please ensure you have put a current date in otherwise it will default to 1970 and reject the order. If this is in, please call us on 07 55310088 and we will quickly and easily take the order.

GENERAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Is Flowers of Southport a real shop or just a relay company?  We are a real shop, and have been established for over 10 years here in the heart of Southport.  Our address is 61b Meron Street, Southport, 4215.  Please feel free to pop in and talk to us!
  2. Do we offer SAME DAY delivery?  Yes we do.  Please place your order by no later than 3pm for same day local (for suburbs south of Broadbeach, please place these by 1.30pm so that we can organise the long distance courier)
  3. How much is delivery? Standard delivery ie AM or PM is only $9.90
  4. Can I choose Morning or Afternoon Delivery?  Yes.  We offer delivery options of Morning (between 10.30am – 12 noon) and Afternoon – between 2pm – 5.30pm.  Please advise if going to a work address, what time the recipient is likely to leave work by.
  5. What is our Delivery area?  We deliver to Paradise Point, Runaway Bay, Coombabah, Helensvale, Arundel, Molendinar, Parkwood, Nerang, Southport, Southport CBD, Labrador, Ashmore, Bundall, Chevron Island, Benowa, Benowa Waters, Biggera Waters, Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Broadbeach Waters, Mermaid Waters, Mermaid, Miami, Robina, Clear Island Waters, Carrara, Worongary, Mudgeeraba, Burleigh, Burleigh Waters, Palm Beach, Coolangatta, Tugun for just $9.90! Further north of Paradise Point, south of Tugun or West of the Pacific Highway not mentioned in the above suburbs may attract a small surcharge.We can deliver out to the Hinterland or to suburbs such as Eagle Heights
  6. Do we have any discounts?  Yes, we offer FREE Delivery for all hospital deliveries for the GC University Hospital, Pindara Hospital, Benowa, Allamanda Private Hospital, Southport, Robina Hospital, Robina and John Flynn Hospital at Tugun! This is automatically offered by our staff when placing an order over the phone, for online orders, please use coupon code HOSP at checkout to claim.
  7. CAN WE DO PRIORITY DELIVERY? Yes, please call our store 07 55310088 and we will organise this within a 2 hour window for an additional fee.
  8. What happens if the receiver isn’t home when the courier tries to deliver?

If going to a house/ duplex etc where there is somewhere safe to leave your gift, the courier will do so.

Unfortunately, If the receiver isn’t home AND lives in a secure unit block / security estate / house with no access and high walls, AND doesn’t answer their phone when the courier arrives, we will have to have the gifts returned by the courier to us for them to collect from our shop. If there is an alternative address that the gifts can be left close by (ie, max of 2 doors away), please advise us when placing your order either by phone or online, in the “Order Notes.”  A message will be left if they have a message bank, to call us regarding the collection.

OTHER GENERAL QUESTIONS

  1. What else do you offer apart from flowers?  We have a lovely range of gift baskets available such as fruit and flowers, along with a wide range of teddies, chocolates, Balloon bouquets, foil balloons, helium balloons, etc .  If there is something specific that you would like, such as Women’s Weekly magazines and or newspapers added with your gift, we are more than happy to oblige.  Please call us on 07 55310088
  2. Where can I park?  Parking is available right outside for free, at 61b Meron Street, Southport.
  3. What payment options do you accept?  We take mastercard, visa, american express all without any cc surcharge!  We also accept debit cards by phone and online.  Flowers of Southport website also offers Paypal as well as Eway as payment options for your online checkout.
  4. What are your opening times?  We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm Queensland time.  We are available to take telephone orders over the weekend for Monday morning delivery.  Just call our shop number on 07 55310088 and it will come directly through to Alan.
  5. How much notice do you require for Funeral flowers?  We prefer 24 hours notice for funeral flowers, to enable us to get in the right flowers and colours for your chosen design. However, we almost always have white flowers in stock, so we can normally accomodate “last minute” orders.  We are conveniently located close to Metropolitan Funerals in Nind Street, as well as Sommerville Funerals, so you can come in and discuss in detail your requirements for the funeral flowers.
  6. Are your staff experienced and trained?  All our staff have gone through formal TAFE traineeships and completed their Certificate 3 in Floristry, combined with work.  None of our staff are unqualified, or inexperienced.
  7. Have you won any awards?  Please refer to the page “About Us”, which lists the numerous awards we have won, including being voted the “Winner” of the Hot Tomato 102.9FM and mygc.com.au for Gold Coast Florists and Gifts category.
